Wind in The Willows - Leongatha Lyric Theatre - 25 January 2021

We had visited Gumbuya world yesterday and we had brought Connor and Ollie home with us because we had tickets for this show on the Monday. We originally had tickets for the 2.00pm sessions but unfortunately this was cancelled because of the extreme temperatures that were expected that day. We were lucky enough to change our tickets to the 5.00pm session, our daughter Erin was coming to the show too so she met us there, and we also had other friends who we hadn't seen for a while coming so it was good to have a chance to catch up with them. The show was being held in Mosvale park which is 15 minutes outside Leongatha and a beautiful setting particularly for this show. We have been to a few Lyric productions so we were looking forward to this one, it also helped that our eldest son Daniel had the role of Toad and our granddaughter Jenna was one of the Weasels. The weather turned out quite pleasant with the temperature dropping a bit when a cool change came through so it was lovely sitting outside. We had a couple of moves through the show but they weren't far so we picked up our chairs and followed the Rabbit to our next area and then set up there. It was a great show, and the costumes were amazing, we all enjoyed it and of course our son and granddaughter were fantastic in their roles. It wasn't a long show, about 11/2 hours so it was still light when we took off for home. We said good bye to everyone and then we were back in the car with the boys coming with us. I had prepared dinner that morning so I only had to set up when we arrived home. After dinner we played a few games of pool before going off to bed.
