We have only just returned from 11 nights away and we are on the rundown to Christmas and we have lots to do before the big day. As normal I have made a plan for the coming two weeks so that we can fit in everything we want to do and one of these events is our youngest grandsons Elijah's third birthday. There hadn't been any formal plans for this day but because it was such a hot day Matthew and Lyndal thought it would be a good chance to visit Warburton Water Park. I am trying to get through the housework at the moment that hasn't been taken care of for 10 weeks now with the times we have been away but I can get up early and do what I need to and then drive to Wonthaggi to pick up his present, grab a coffee and then drive onto Warburton 2 and a half hours away. We arrived at the park with half an hour to spare. I was greeted going through the gate and then asked if I had my purse with me, which I did. Mr. Whippy had just pulled up and I had four hungry children wanting ice creams. We walked over and I was given a list of what everyone wanted which I ordered and then we walked back to the park trying to eat the ice creams before they melted. Elijah must have received a water gun for his birthday and obviously he loved this present because I spent nearly the whole time being squirted from the gun, oh well it was interacting on some level. I was very impressed with the park, free entry and some interesting activities, there were heaps of people visiting there on the day. The Water Park backs onto the Warburton caravan park and it is a particularly pretty area. We will try to return before the end of summer to spend a couple of days here. I took lots of photos but unfortunately my camera is playing up and I was unable to download the photos so I had to photograph each photo with my iPhone and the quality is less than good but you can maybe get a bit of an idea of the area. I have stolen a couple of pictures from my DIL of Elijah because mine didn't work out. What a beautiful boy.
