Whilst nomading up and down the South Australian Peninsulas last year we took a side trip to investigate the possibility of renting a house large enough to accommodate our whole family for a few days this year to celebrate my
70 birthday. Little did we know what was ahead of us in the non year of 2020, hmmm should we rename it 2019.5? Not being able to celebrate a birthday is small fry compared to what a lot of people are going through and our thoughts are with them. Anyway my birthday is here and I would like to report I have had the best day and could not be happier. Weather wise the day has been beautiful, who would have thought that in August, and then I opened my blinds to see these beautiful yellow daffodils waving in the wind, my favourite colour and that is why they are where they are, and then the day just got better. We drove to Foster to pick up seafood for dinner and then my birthday treat was to visit our favourite entertainment dome, Bunnings Garden Centre, to pick up some 'essential' supplies. After lunch at home I opened FB to see all these beautiful birthday wishes, thanks to everyone for your lovely thoughts, the connection with everyone especially through these difficult times means a lot. And just to top it off I received these two special deliveries this afternoon from family and a face time catch up. I can't really complain about my Covid special birthday. xx
