Happy Australia Day to all. Has there ever been a more significant date 26 January 2020 to celebrate. We have communities suffering from drought and others fighting fires to keep their homes and just to top it off we have a sudden flood in areas that least need it. But then we have the magnificent emergency service organisations spending their time trying to help, so many of them volunteering their time. Dorothy Mckellar explained it perfectly in her 1904 poem 'My Country'. Surely this is a time for uniting rather than arguing over a date, if only we could get everyone together with a view to compromising and working out a solution to suit all.
