Without a doubt this is the very best time of the year, apart from my birthweek of course but this week
does take a bit of organising. There is nothing I enjoy more than making plans and then ensuring they happen as scheduled, and of course that involves lists. So the very first part of the plan was to sit down on Friday and make the list which is made up of two sections 1. what needs to be prepared on each day and 2. the shopping list which as it turns out is a list that keeps giving as everyday since Saturday we have driven to the supermarket for the last few items we need, and tomorrow we are doing the same thing, thankfully we have a well stocked supermarket to go to. Today was my turn to start setting both tables the one we sit at and the food table because as big as our table is we can't possibly fit all the food on it, I think I have completed all that I can there. Robb's decided today was the day for him to make his fantastic 3 ingredient Christmas Cake and his trifle both of which have now been prepared and stored until Christmas Day. My turn in the kitchen tomorrow making vegetable bakes that can be reheated on the day and partly preparing salads for Christmas Night.
