One of our pleasures each year is to spend a few nights way with friends at Bear Gully campground in Cape Liptrap coastal park. We don't do anything except sit around reading books or doing crosswords, eating, drinking and just telling stories that we have covered too many times over the past 20 years. Because we are close to where all our families live we often have visits from family and friends and sometimes they bring cakes down to us for afternoon tea. It doesn't sound terribly exciting but for some reason it works and it allows us to recharge and prepare us for the coming festive season and the new year. We often have visits from the local wildlife and this year we had a very friendly little blue tongue come to say hello, however, when I caught him out of the corner of my eye crawling out from underneath our van beside my chair I did have a bit of a start thinking he might be a snake. We also had a few parrots this year, they seem to come and go and the last time I can remember them being there was four or five years ago.
