Our last holiday night before travelling on home so we wanted somewhere on the homeward track. We found it difficult when we researched the caravan parks in Ballarat to actually work out what was in Ballarat itself as a lot of the parks attach themselves to Ballarat but as we found out last time we came through they can be up to 40kms away. When you are trying to plan your trip this makes it very difficult. However, as it turned out we made a good decision in choosing this park as it will give us a good start in the morning. The check in was quick and friendly, our requests were happily met and the prices were good. So much so that when we return we will know to book at this park, I have taken their card so that we can book direct.
We have been lucky enough for all the stops on our way home to be able to stay hooked up, if we have had to unhitch naturally we would have but this has made it so much easier each morning to take off. At a lot of parks you pay a little extra for the drive through sites where you don't have to unhook but that is for everyone to decide at the time if they are happy to pay the extra.
So how are we feeling about ending our holiday. While we miss our family and friends while away we are both always a bit sorry to come to the end of a trip and both could have traveled on a bit further if we didn't have prior commitments. Our way of dealing with this feeling is by planning a future trip which started by visiting a particular part of Victoria and in driving long distances from one stop to another has greatly extended to now at least a two week trip. So now I am focusing on getting home and back to our beautiful fire in this horrible weather and settling in an planning our next few trips.
