Oyster Barn - Ceduna

We picked up a coffee first thing this morning and returned to the van for a read. I was on the last 40+ pages of a book I was reading and was keen to finish it so we sat over this coffee until I had finished and then we decided to take another drive to Denial Bay. Once again we went in search of the Mackenzie Ruins in Denial Bay and once again failed to find them, not to worry there is always next time. We drove back to Ceduna knowing we were going to stop at the Oyster Barn for lunch. It was a beautiful day so we thought we would sit upstairs on the deck, we ordered our meals downstairs, schnapper fillets and chips, a coke for Robb and a Piccolo for me. We climbed the stairs to the upper deck and found a table and waited for our food. We didn't have to wait too long and when it arrived we shared up the fish and chips between us and commenced eating. The fish was beautiful and fresh and broke away with a fork, the chips were good, I very rarely like chips but these were soft fluffy potato and fried in fresh oil. There was plenty for both of us on the plate and the service was very friendly and the prices good, everything to make an excellent stop. A lovely way to spend a sunny Sunday, we had a lovely chat with the other two couples who were sitting upstairs, both couples caravanners and both have visited this venue before and made it a priority to call back in. We purchased two dozen oysters and a shucking knife on our way out for Robb. I think by the time we return home he will have had more than his fair share of oysters. We returned to our van from here to do a few jobs we wanted to catch up on and then just to have a bit of relaxing time. We sat outside for a long time because the weather is just perfect at the moment but once it gets too late in the afternoon the temperature drops drastically.
