We are staying in Ceduna for five nights and we love to have our morning coffee so went in search of somewhere decent to have a coffee and a read. The bakery looked pleasant enough so we walked in here and my husband walked up to the cake cabinet and chose something to have with his coffee so then I walked up to put in our order. The lady who served me looked like it was far too much trouble to take my order but I put it through and then went back to my table. While we were waiting for our coffee two couples came in to the store and they were obviously tourists and the girl who approached them, a different one, was quite rude and ordered them down to the register to put in their order. The coffee was good but I am not sure we will return as we have found other places in town for coffee. I wouldn't recommend this stop to anyone when you can buy the same products at other places around town.
After coffee we went in search of the Cultural Arts Centre and it was easy enough to find so we parked and walked inside. I'm not a great fan of Aboriginal Art but as this is one of the attractions in town we thought we would take a look. It was well set out with a wide range of aboriginal art exhibits, the lady on duty was very helpful in explaining the different tools and instruments on display and we both actually liked most of the artwork. There is a language school attached to this facility. Well worth the visit.
We then moved onto the Ceduna School House Museum and we have visited so many museums in our time so we get a bit blase about them but I would probably recommend a visit here. There is a wide range of exhibits and it is well set out. The gentleman that was in charge on the day was very helpful in explaining the set up and we met him again half way and had a lovely chat to him. Good value at $5 for the two of us on concession.
After that we decided to visit some of the fish shops around town, we walked into one and watched the fish processing for a while and then moved onto one of the others but it wasn't open at the time. Our last little excursion for the day was to drive down to the Ceduna Jetty which is just behind our caravan park. We stopped there for awhile and then drove to the Foodland store in town to do some shopping. We then returned to the caravan. Robb is quite exhausted from all the travelling and we decided to rest for the remainder of the afternoon.
