Marion Bay to Port Broughton

We packed up at the normal time but we had one or two issues this morning, very simple ones but they just made the pack up a bit more difficult. However, we were still out of the park at the appointed time and then we drove down to the Beach Break for our traveler coffee and then we were on our way. We had chosen Port Broughton as our stop off point but on the way I wanted to visit Port Victoria and have a bit of a look around. It wasn't much of a diversion on our trip but it put us on one of the worst roads we had been on so far but finally we were back on track. We passed many small towns on our way and found ourselves in towns we had previously visited while staying in Ardrossan, the Yorke Peninsula is quite narrow so this was not too surprising. Some of the small towns on the way were Minlaton, Port Victoria, Arthurton, Maitland, Kadina and then onto Port Broughton. There were other tiny towns with some fantastic buildings but I couldn't name them all.

When we entered Port Broughton we pulled over onto the side of the road to check Wikicamps for our options for parks. We chose this park because they had an excellent offer on but when we booked in we were really impressed with the service, we requested a drive through site and this was no effort for them to organise. We could have had a site on the water but that didn't worry us too much so we have a brilliant site close to amenities. The park is situated on the edge of town which I like because it is easy to get in and out and we are not too far away from the facilities we may need. We are looking forward to investigating the local area. The special we have is associated with being here on a Tuesday and because that suits us we took this offer up and that makes the pricing very reasonable.

Robb is trying to get onto a fishing charter tomorrow and I have lots of information on the area so will check out where we are going to tomorrow if he can't manage to find a charter.
