We had to extend our stay in Marion Bay because I woke up this morning with vertigo and it was soon evident that I wasn't going to be able to do much for the day. I am not an easy person to stop but I agreed to have a rest day to recoup so I thought I would tell you a bit more about our caravan park. We always ask for a drive through site when booking in and all of these sites at this park were booked for the weekend. So the very friendly managers found us what they thought was a large site that was easy to back into, and it was. At our previous park we had been staying on sand so it was a relief to see a very large area of fake grass that we lined up with. Most of the sites look quite generous, the amenities are large and very clean, the signage around the park is clear and well constructed. The camp kitchen is a great area and there is a group in at the moment who are taking advantage of this and there is a good children's play ground. On top of all this the rates are excellent, there is a special on at the moment, pay for four and stay for six which we would love to take advantage of but we have other plans.
We drove to the Tavern for our morning coffee and the lady was lovely enough to help us out even though we arrived through the time she would be setting up. We took our coffee back to the van to relax and have a read. When I felt a bit better we thought we would drive to the General Store to pick up the few items we needed for the next few days. We thought the variety of items at the General Store was good, we found everything we wanted to restock. A bit dearer than normal but we have owned a general store in a small country town so we understood the reasons and everything seemed to be of good quality. It has taken me all day but I now feel not too bad, we are going for dinner to the Tavern because my good friend's sister is working there and I would like to say hello. We will have dinner and come back for an early night.
