We had visited here last year and enjoyed the experience so thought we would return. We intended to have lunch here but we were running a bit late and the kitchen was packing up but the cafe was open so my husband chose to have scones jam and cream but I am not much of a sweet eater so I thought I would just have a cuppa. However the lovely Sue who served us offered to ask the kitchen staff if they were happy to make up a toastie for me and they said they would. I thought this was a lovely gesture because I know what it is like when you are close to the end of your day and looking forward to packing up. As it turned out it was one of the best toasties I had ever had and Robb enjoyed his scone. So I want to say thank you very much for your consideration and friendliness especially to Sue who was on by herself but still took the time to look after us. We also introduced ourselves to Ros the owner because Penny from the Barmah Forest Heritage and Education centre knows her and said to say hello to Ros for her. We had a fantastic day all up made even better by the wonderful service we received at each of our stops today. We purchased a couple of litres of their Poppyseed Dressing because this is the best dressing in the world.
