When NSW is so close it is sacrilege not to wander over the bridge to visit. Barooga is a small town directly over the bridge from Cobram which is popular with golfers, and the town relies on tourists for it's economy. There is not a lot to see here but we did visit Quicks beach which has many swimming areas and is a popular free camping area for travelers. We then visited ski beach on the other side, a similar area to Quicks beach with free camping and I think there is access here for boats for skiing. We then drove onto the Botanic Gardens and spent a bit of time here walking the tracks and admiring the beautiful autumn leaves that were slowly falling in the very gentle breeze.
