Our Last Night

We left Wagga Wagga and decided to drive down to Nagambie and stay at the Lakeside caravan park again as we had enjoyed our time here on the way up. We arrived at the park and found there was a regatta on the lake in front of our campsite which was an added attraction to our stay. We set up and started sorting the van out to return home, there wasn't much to do but we wanted a list of items we needed to follow up and we wanted the few items we had to take inside when we arrived home to be packed separately in the car. Once we were organised we sat back and enjoyed the night. In the morning we were up at a good time and packing up ready to go home when our neighbour alerted us to the fact we had a flat tyre on the van. We phoned the RACV who arrived promptly and a lovely young man changed the tyre and tested the others to make sure we could travel and then we were on our way. We made good time until we were within about 5 kms of the citylink

tunnel and then we were held up because as seems to happen every day a truck had turned over and only one lane was proceeding through the tunnel. Anyway there isn't anything you can do so you just move along with the traffic. Interesting though we had someone run up the back of another car, we were only doing 10kms per hour, how does this happen, anyway it was quite amusing. We finally got out of the tunnel and then had a good run home. I love our holidays but there is always something special about arriving home after time away.
