Junee is a short drive from Wagga Wagga and I had heard of it over the years so I was interested in visiting here. I didn't know much about it's history though before going so we were both pleasantly surprised by what we learnt on our short visit
. It is a very attractive medium sized town with quite a few historic buildings and similar to a few of the towns we had visited in the Riverina the main street was divided by a large stretch of parkland. There were also some interesting turns to get from one side of the street to the other. The highlight for us though was the train station which looks like it may have had a bit of renovation over the years but had kept it's original look. The railway seemed to have played a major part in the development of Junee and the main line between Sydney and Melbourne runs through here.
