We saw the Top Parks sign so followed this as we are Top Parks members and drove into the park to see if we could get a site. The staff were very friendly and helpful and there was a spot available and thankfully all their spots were drive through, always an added bonus. The site was lovely and grassy, a good size and very flat, it was one plus after another. Then we visited the amenities and they were very clean and convenient to access. We were to stay two nights but opted for another night because we loved our spot. We were also a very short walk into town not that we took advantage of this as we went each day to check out the area.
We always take advantage of the Visitor Information Centres when we first enter a town we haven't been to before. We had been to Tocumwal but hadn't stayed and we had returned because we had both loved it and wanted to explore a bit more. The ladies at the centre were quite helpful so we soon collected a handful of interesting information and a lovely vocal overview of the immediate area. We also had information on Tourist parks so our first errand was to go and find the best one for us. We drove down the road and saw the Top Parks sign and as we are members and have always had good experiences at these parks we called in and booked in. It was getting later in the afternoon so we set up and then went to have a quick look around the town. We then drove back to our van to make our plans of attack for the next day.
