Moving On

Our holiday in Europe was 18 months ago but I wanted to document it on my blog thinking there might have been something of interest to others visiting these five countries we covered in our trip. We have had a few holidays since then and I have managed to share our story here and I feel now that the blog is quite substantial and has something to offer to those people kind enough to follow me so now it is time to move on.

Late last year we took an eight week trip in a little Britzy van from Carins to Darwin to Broome that we absolutely loved, you can read about it here. The reason we rented the Britzy is because Robb was not keen on dragging a caravan around the country for extended periods. However, we loved our trip so much that we came home intending to trade in our little 14 foot Van Royce caravan for something more suitable to take on a longer trip. We had loved our little van but we didn't have an ensuite and we felt that was a necessity if we were living in the van for more than one month. So we have been looking around for an updated van since October last year and finally found one at Ian Grant's in Traralgon in mid February, actually in time for Valentines day so I refer to it as my Valentine Day's gift which annoys Robb as he is not a fan of this holiday. We can't recommend Grant's enough if you are looking around, they had a lot to choose from and the service was exceptional. We love our new van that we have named Taj and have already taken it away for two weeks so that we could iron out any repairs that needed to be taken care of. Being a second hand van we knew there would be some issues and we were only hoping there wasn't anything major. Robb fixed a couple of smaller items and at one stage we had the van in to a caravan repair place in Shepparton and the other repairs that could wait we noted and called our caravan repair person now in Dalyston and booked the van in for this work.
