We had booked a tour on the bus and it included a boat trip which wasn't due to leave for 2 hours so we went in search of a restaurant for lunch and came across Rib Beef and Wine that looked ok to us so we waited for someone to direct us to a table and then sat down. We followed the waiters suggestions and started with a truffle dish for entree that neither of us really liked and then we had a traditional Portuguese main of two slices of bread with cold meat in the middle cheese poured over the top with a tomato sauce and an egg on top. It was very indulgent but very delicious. We had a lovely wine with our lunch and and the outlook over the river was very nice. The service was excellent and the prices were reasonable so all up we would recommended a stop here. Eventually we walked down to line up to hop on the boat for our tour of the River Douro. The tour was lovely, the weather certainly helped and we had another view of Porto that we wouldn't have otherwise seen. We completed the tour and then alighted ready to find the Hop on Hop off bus for a further look around town.
