Gines - Sevilla, Spain

We sadly left Chinchon to move onto our next destination in the south of Spain. I wanted to explore the south of Spain and thought Seville would be a good base, finding accommodation was interesting and the closest we could get was Gines about a 15 minute drive from Seville. I was happy with this choice as Gines was a lovely small town that because of it's proximity to Seville was being developed with new estates close to the freeway into Seville, but still with that old/small town feel to it. Our accommodation as GIT Vereda Real

was hard to work out if it was new or it had been redeveloped but either way it was very attractive with a very Spanish feel to it, the staff were all very friendly and helpful and our rooms were a good size and very modern. Robb and I took a drive down the main street of Gines and found a hairdresser for Robb to have a trim, none of the girls spoke English so it was really interesting trying to convey what he wanted but we all had a lot of fun, it was a great experience. We left and as it was lunch time we found a tapas bar up the road that at first glance looked a bit rough but the cook could speak English so she came out and we explained we wanted a light lunch of tapas, she asked if we were happy to leave it to her and we said yes and she brought out four delicious dishes to us one after the other.
