We called into this restaurant that overlooked the water and found a table with a great view only to be told the table was reserved. We asked if there was another table available and they said if we would go inside and wait they would clean one down for us, the waitress made it clear to us that we should have made a reservation but she would see what she could do. We were going to try somewhere else but then she returned and said she had a table for us so we followed her out in the alfresco area and were seated. We don't mind if they are very busy and not able to accommodate us then we would just go somewhere else, but the attitude wasn't very good and that was a bit disappointing. Anyway we ordered and drink and had a look at the menu. Robb and I decided to share a seafood Paella, it is one of my favourites, the price on the menu was 16Euro and the Paella was for two. It was very good and we both enjoyed it and when we went to pay the bill we found out it was 16 Euro each, hmmmm not very clear on the menu and that made it a bit overpriced but you live and learn. Overall there is a nice outlook from the alfresco area, nice wines and the food was enjoyable, the pricing and service was the only thing that let them down.
We went from here to a viewing platform overlooking Platja d'Aro and neighbouring towns. To reach this view we had to walk for 500 metres up quite a steep hill which certainly taxed us a bit but finally we made the summit only to find to really maximise the outlook we needed to climb the viewing platform which meant we had to climb up 40 steps to the top, we had come so far already we weren't stopping now. It was worth the effort and even though it was a really overcast day the views were quite spectacular.
