This is a festival that is held every two years in the small potato growing East Gippsland town of Thorpdale. This is our second visit to this festival and we are looking forward to it as we were really impressed last time. Just to top it off I received a call from our daughter-in-law Lyndal in the morning saying she was thinking about coming over to join us with our three grandchildren. We made arrangements to call each other on arrival and catch up at the entry which worked out well and as we both arrived at the same time and because we were parking in a different area we organised to meet at the gate. I am pretty sure this festival was at least twice the size of the last time we were here with an excellent mix of events, children's activities and rides, food trucks and stalls selling everything from boots to wine. Our time was enhanced with having the children with us we were there for three to four hours and and I think we managed to see everything we could, we had lunch there, we spent time on rides for the girls and they were excited to have their faces painted. This is such a great festival and we will certainly return next time.
