Tours, France

Tours was a two hour drive from where we were staying so we quickly grabbed a coffee at Bon Bons in Magnac Laval and took care of the couple of jobs we had to do here and then set off for Tours. Tours is a town in Central France where the majority of castles seem to be located, we weren't sure of where we were going to visit but as always we would visit the Information Centre for advice on the best options for the time we had. When we arrived in Tours we found somewhere to park and then set off on foot to go find the office. We headed off in the direction we thought it was and thankfully we were correct, as it turned out it was fairly easy to find and we went in and

up to the counter to talk to the service person, thankfully she could speak English. I asked about the castles in the area and she suggested we would only have time to visit one of them and and we should visit the Chateau de Chenonceau so we purchased our tickets there and took a couple of brochures and then went looking for somewhere for lunch before driving to the castle. We had lunch at the Bar Brasserie before driving to the castle.
