Notre Dame

This cathedral was on my list of must visits. My reasons were definitely not religious but as an old film buff and having watched the 'Hunchback of Notre Dame' I felt a strong need to visit this cathedral. What I found was very different from my memories of the cathedral depicted in this movie which was very black. The cathedral itself is a beautiful example of architecture, we didn't go inside we will have to save this pleasure for next time. We walked around the perimeter of the church including the beautiful gardens and then walked over the bridge and sat and had lunch at a lovely little cafe where we had a clear view of the cathedral.
