We had booked the Ho Ho bus for 2 days and would pick it up at the Eiffel Tower, however, one day there was a bike ride on and that whole area was blocked off so we had to make our way to the Trocadero to catch the bus. Our accommodation was 600 metres from the Eiffel Tower so it was convenient for us to walk around there to catch the bus and then we used to it take us all over Paris and then walk back home. The Paris tour on the Ho Ho bus was one of our favourites as you were able to easily access all the important sites and the drivers and guides were always so helpful. We had time to take both tours which was good because we particularly wanted to see the Montmartre District through the day, we had visited Moulin Rouge the night before and the streets were teeming with people, there were clubs and cafes everywhere you looked and the general feeling was very festive. Daytime Montmartre is just as vibrant I don't think anything ever shuts down night or day, such a special area. Together with walking the streets and riding the bus we came away feeling we had a good taste of Paris from this experience. On our first day walking around to the bus we came across a farmers market underneath the rail bridge near our accommodation so of course we had to stop to take a look around we bought some local cheese from a local fromager which we enjoyed that evening and I wanted to buy some of the beautiful flowers on offer but we weren't in Paris long enough to make it worthwhile.
