We had booked our tickets ahead for this museum and so glad we did because the line we would have had to hop on the end of was very long even when we arrived at 9.00am. The queue we did hop on was long enough but it did move through very quickly. the entry is through the very famous glass pyramid out the front, I am not sure how I felt about the pyramid but I suppose that is personal taste and a lot of people were very impressed with it. However, you can't help but be impressed once you enter the Louvre, for one thing it is much bigger than I thought and you cannot help but love
the building itself. Like a lot of people our first objective was to visit with the Mona Lisa so we followed all the signs around the museum to view this painting and walked for a long time before we finally arrived. Our first view of this iconic painting was a bit of a surprise because I had been told how small it is and I didn't think it was that small, maybe A3 size and it was great to see it but the painting on the opposite wall eclipsed it for us. We could not possibly see the whole museum in one day but we did manage to see quite a lot and we were so glad we visited this magnificent museum. Just make sure you purchase skip the line tickets.
