Modena

One member of our group wanted to visit the Museo Lambourghini Modena while the other three wanted to find the balsamic vinegar outlet. We dropped out friend at the Museo and then drove closer into town and parked. As always we took a photo of our car and where we were and then we walked the streets following the signs to the balsamic vinegar factory which we never found but we did find our way to the Piazza Grande, This is a very attractive piazza with the church on one side and the shops branching out from here completing the square. We had lunch on the piazza and then walked to the beautiful cathedral to have a look around. The cathedral is quite beautiful and I would recommend everyone taking the time to visit here and the piazza. When we entered the piazza we took notice of where we were because we had learnt over our time in Italy to take notice of landmarks so we could find

our way back to the car. We thought this was particularly easy in Modena because we only had two turns, however, when we tried to find our way back we were terribly lost, we had taken the wrong lane and ended up at least an hours walk from our car. We received a call from our friend at the Lambourghini Museo to say he was ready to be picked up and we had to tell him we had no idea where we were. We eventually found a taxi and together we managed to work out where our car was from the photos and we were soon on our way to pick our friend up. It was a very frustrating day but hopefully we learnt something from it.
