Florence

Because we only had one day in Florence we took the Hop On Hop Off bus for a quick tour around the city. One of the stops we hopped off at was Piazzale Michelangelo. This is a large area and there are lots of little stalls selling all sorts of items, we purchased a couple of Pinocchio Puppets to bring home to grandchildren. There are also food stalls but we didn't eat here we found a nice little cafe over the road selling simple fare but we could sit in the shade so we had lunch here. The views from the Piazzale go on forever and you can get a great outline of the lie of the city up here. Well worth hopping off the bus for the views. We also did quite a bit of walking around Florence on both sides of the river while we were trying to find the Hop on Hop off bus stops but looking back on my photos now it was well worth while, we saw areas we wouldn't have gone to on the bus which were quite interesting.
