Most visitors to Italy love the Tuscany region but for me it was Umbria, we stayed in the district of Umbria and we loved every part of it. One of the towns we visited in this region was Perugia and we arrived here and drove to the look out to get a good look over the town. We took a few photos and then the weather fell apart. We ended up sitting with a coffee in the Piazza waiting for the rain to clear but then gave up and took a tour on the hop on hop off bus to fill in time. It is a beautiful town and I would like to return when the weather is a bit better but we did have a look at the underground town. This is a university town and we had a nice talk to some students from Chicago attending the university here while we were waiting for the weather to clear. Can't wait to return.
