Of course while you are in the Barossa Valley you have to do a wine tasting or two and there are so many wineries to choose from your head spins, even before tasting. We chose First Drop Wines because of the quirky look it had up against all the other grand old wineries. We called in for a tasting only and spent a lovely hour or two there talking to the very friendly staff member who served us. We tried a variety of wines, even a couple of reds because they were recommended to us, I am a white drinker but I did come away with one of the reds because I really enjoyed it. The young girl serving us had a good knowledge of wines in general and particularly First Drop Wines and we found her recommendations worthwhile. We also loved their label design and their novelty bottles. Most certainly a winery to visit.
