We visited the museum through the day and then returned at night for the Sound and Light show which was excellent and I have reviewed that separately. We thought the museum was interesting and we enjoyed walking through the engines and carriages. There is also a tour you can take which goes through the shed where the engines are that we looked through and then outside to the roundhouse, we didn't take the tour because of the timing but I would recommend doing this tour as otherwise you only see half of the museum. We weren't too worried about not doing the tour as we would see the roundhouse when we returned for the Sound and Light show that evening. The museum is at the Information Centre and the staff here are very friendly and accommodating and will be able to help with all your other inquiries about Peterborough. The only negative is that we thought the entry fees were a bit high and we felt there should have been some concession if you were visiting both the Museum and the Sound and Light Show.
