We visited the Steamtown Rail Museum through the day and then returned for this show at night once it was dark. I think it started around 8.00pm and we had to be at the Museum 15 minutes earlier. We thought entry was a bit expensive particularly since we had visited the museum through the day and paid for entry here too. The show is well organised and at the appropriate time we were ushered through to the large shed where the engines are kept and there are announcements for the train to be leaving and smoke billowing out from one of the engines. We then walked outside to a carriage where seating has been set up so that we all face the roundhouse where the story is told of the history of steam engines in Peterborough and lights are used to highlight the story. We would recommend this attraction to everyone and make sure you book ahead as they only admit enough people to seat in the carriage where you watch the show.
