We chose this park because of the reviews but unfortunately our experience was rather disappointing. We were looking at staying for two nights and we were told when booking in that the only spots they had were in the overflow section, I inquired if it was ok and the lady booking us in assured us it was so we drove of in the direction indicated and found the grass areas were blocked off from entry and the only spots available were on the road. We had access to power where we were but not to water. We returned to the office because we thought we must have misunderstood the directions and when we said the only spots were on the road the lady said 'yes, that is correct'. We had already paid so we just decided to go ahead with the booking, however, there is a free camp on the way into Peterborough and a free RV camp down the road which really would have been just as good as where we were. The part that really annoyed us though was we were told the park was full but when we walked the 500 meters to the amenities we found there were at least 10 empty campsites in the nice grass area. We had neighbours pull in about 2 hours after we arrived and they were equally disgruntled and they left the next day to stay at the RV park. Particularly disappointing when this is a town that relies heavily on their tourism. The positive side was that it made us aware that we need to check sites out before accepting them.
