We took a visit to the AGL Solar Farm, not terribly exciting to anyone else but we had seen a couple in our travels and wanted to have a close up look at one of these farms. I think we have a fantastic opportunity in our very vast country to set up more solar and wind farms to take advantage of our natural resources to reduce the impact on our environment. The solar farm we visited is huge and the details of the output are positive but it also brought up more questions to us that we haven't followed up such as do they need regular cleaning, how long do the panels last and how are they disposed of when they are replaced. Hopefully someone has worked through all these issues because as we know sometimes there isn't a lot of thought put into measures to help the environment. However, this farm is very impressive and cover 140 hectares.
