Strolling Along the Mighty Murray River

The Australian river systems are magnificent for their natural beauty but also for the part they have played in our history. The towns that have grown beside our rivers all have something spectacular to offer and are well worth a visit. Paddle steamers have played an important part in the growth of these towns and it is special to see them still in action and there is nothing better than taking a short trip on one of them but for me I love the romance of just watching one drifting down our rivers, listening to the whistle blow and imagining earlier times. There is lots to see when you are taking a stroll along the Murray in Mildura and it never fails to impress.
