Lakeview Caravan Park - Broken Hill

There wasn't much to choose from in the way of caravan parks in Broken Hill which is a bit strange because it is quite a big town and tourism would have to be the second main industry in town. We had stayed at the other park previously but went past and had a look and them drove to Lakeview for a look before making a decision and there didn't really seem much between the two. We also looked at the reviews for both parks and while we were stopped by the side of the road reading these one of the local residents came up and asked if we needed help and we told him what we were doing, they were
and he thought Lakeview was the best of the two so we decided to go with Lakeview because the reviews on Wikicamps were a bit better too. We were there for 5 nights so we wanted somewhere nice. The manager on duty was very friendly so that was a good start, we drove down to our site and I really wanted to go back and cancel the booking, the site was dry and dusty and did not have much of an outlook but we decided to stay because there wasn't any choice. We set up and poured a drink and then our neighbours came over for some help so my husband sorted out their issues and we had a nice chat with them they were there for two days and were good fun so that helped. We got used to the park the longer we were there and didn't mind the position as it was fairly quiet and we didn't spend a lot of time there as we were out and about every day.
