We chose this park because of it's central location, I think it is the closest park to Darwin city. We were happy with our site because it was close to the amenities and the pool. Unfortunately the park had lost all their trees in the last storm so there wasn't any shade and they had mulched the trees and laid the mulch out between each site, lovely composting, however, it had caused an influx of midges to the area and my husband and I were eaten alive we had to eventually get anti histamine tablets to get some relief. The staff were very friendly and the position to Darwin was excellent and we enjoyed every afternoon in the pool. The only issue we had was the midges and hopefully this is not an ongoing problem. We would return but only after making sure we wouldn't have the same problem.
