We wanted to visit Litchfield National Park on the way to Darwin so we stopped just outside at Coomalie Creek. This was a great little park similar to bush camping. We went in to register and was told just to choose a site and someone would come along later to collect the fee, so we had a good look around and chose a site just below the amenities. We set up and then went down to the creek and followed the walking track for a bit of a look around. It is a very pretty area and whetted our appetite for the National Park the next day.
