We took the two gorge tour and had to book ahead so if you are time poor best to remember this. It was an excellent tour with an informative guide. The gorge itself is spectacular and we felt privileged to be able to view it from the boat. There is a lot of wildlife for viewing and the guide was very good at pointing out crocodiles resting on the shore. After boating down the first gorge we hopped out and walked about 400 metres to pick up the next boat for the next gorge. The second gorge is where you see that spectacular view looking down between the two cliff faces that everyone associates with Nitmiluk Gorge. We loved this tour but just remember to book ahead. The visitor centre at the gorge has an excellent souvenir shop and cafe for light lunches.
