Our food garden needed tending to so the last couple of days I have been harvesting and replanting. Yesterday sadly I cleared out the last of our parsley plants, I have been harvesting parsley since May and I have been sharing my pickings, freezing or using it in cooking since then but it was time for it to go. I used the last of it to make up some parsley pesto and now have two jars stored. I also dug up the spring onions that were ready to be picked and these will be well used in our daily salads. Today I harvested the Silvertbeet and Coloured Chard that were ready and I have blanched and frozen these for future use. I also picked 3 Snow Peas from my struggling plants and can't believe that these sad plants could produce anything. I was happy to share the peas with Robb in our salads today but he kindly said I could have them all. I had pumpkin seedlings and shallots that were ready to be planted so it was good to have some room for these to go in. Today was a brilliant day for gardening, there had been a slow drizzle all morning and when I finished all the planting the rain came down a bit heavier and I could almost hear my plants drinking it up.

So it's time for me to say goodbye to the Wix site that I upload my blog on. I have been told I have reached my maximum usage on this...
