There wasn't that much to see in Daly Waters but we thought we would tour around and see what we could because we had a free day. We started off by visiting the Stuart Tree. John McDouall Stuart apparently carved an 'S' in this tree to signify that fact he had passed through here in his explorations, we looked closely and could make something out but we have to leave the interpretation up to the experts. We then stopped at the historic bridge and Robb took a walk across the bridge and I had a bit of a look around. We returned to the pub to have a look at the few building in town, there was a store opposite the pub with souvenirs, a servo and a park opposite the pub that was very pretty and had an old helicopter as a tourist attraction. We sat in the park for a little while, it looked across to the pub and the whole outlook was very attractive, people are coming and going at the pub all the time. We loved Daly Waters and will definitely return there.
