We visited a few Telegraph Stations on our trip and this was one of the better ones. These stations played such an important role in these isolated areas and the buildings at this station are clearly marked to show their roles in this small town. There is a food storage cellar, living quarters, a butcher, a blacksmith and of course the telegraph office. There was always room for passing travellers and prospectors. The buildings are in good condition and the signage is good. The Telegraph Station is not far out of Tennant Creek and just off the main road on the way to Three Ways Roadhouse.
