Battery Hill Mining Centre - Tennant Creek

We took a diversion to Tennant Creek on our way to Three Ways Roadhouse. After having a look around the town we called out to Battery Hill Mining Centre. Unfortunately our timing wasn't great because Malcolm Turnbull had been there in the morning addressing issues in the town and the news teams were still there so we didn't do the official tour. We had a look around ourselves though and we were interested in the outside equipment but felt there could have been a bit more inside. There is heaps of vacant space inside and it seemed a bit wasted, however, maybe they had cleared the area for our then Prime Minister.
