We didn't particularly have plans to stay here but arrived early afternoon and we were ready for a break. We noticed the Discovery Park sign and we have always been happy with Discovery parks so we decided to stay the night and then decide tomorrow if we were moving on or staying another night. The staff were very friendly and happy for us to let them know tomorrow if we were staying again, our site was well positioned and the amenities were close by and well maintained and they had a free laundry which we hadn't seen before. We didn't stay the second night but only because we had made other plans by then. Cloncurry is one of the bigger towns around that area so we had a look around in the morning before moving on. There are a few places of interest in Cloncurry including the John Flynn Place Museum, we had been through other RFDS museums but this one apparently is based more on the life of John Flynn rather than the RFDS, we decided not to go through it this time but maybe it is worth a visit when we return.
