We stayed in Cloncurry overnight and had a look around the next morning and came across the Mary Kathleen Memorial Park and Museum. We had a look around the inside area and then walked around the outside displays. The museum is set in a lovely park area and was easy to wander around in, however, you do spend a lot of time dodging the kangaroo poo. There is a great display of old machinery and we were particularly interested in the rail ambulance. We didn't pay to go through the museum itself as we felt it was too expensive, obviously everyone else felt the same because there wasn't anyone in the museum. If visiting Cloncurry I would put this on my list to do, for caravanners this is a great place to call in for a lunch break as there is ample parking for vans, you can grab a coffee from the museum and there is lots of space for a picnic.
