Robb is a fisherman so when we planned this trip up north we allowed for a few fishing charters for him. In Karumba he chose to do the half day fishing trip with Kerry D Charters, we chose them for no other reason than it suited us at the time, that gave me a day at home to sort out the van and do a bit of a clean through. He had a great half day and he thought the crew were outstanding and always ready to help out. He came home with 10 Mackerel and a sunny disposition so all was good. He said he would thoroughly recommend Kerry D for their fishing charters to anyone up that way, they were particularly good with the people on the charter who don't normally fish and helped out with baiting their hooks and bringing in their fish. I went down to meet Robb when I thought he was due to return but they were running a bit late so he met me back at the van. He wanted to fillet his fish so we walked down to the banks of the river where there were tables and BBQs to work on. I came back for a couple of buckets for him to wash the fish with and he set up to fillet. There were too many fish for us to eat so we offered them around the park, nobody wanted them until they found out Robb would fillet them and then they all came out of the wood work. We kept four meals for ourselves, our freezer in the Britzy didn't work too well so that was all we were game to keep and we found happy diners for the rest of the fillets. Anyway it turns out that Robb is quite efficient at filleting so it wasn't too long until he had a full audience watching him and forever the showman he was describing the technique and giving lessons, it was a great day.
