We called into the Visitor Information Centre when we entered the town and made enquiries about the caravan parks and this one was recommended to us. There are only 17 sites and it is situated right on the river, we think this was originally the car park for the hotel and they have converted it to caravan sites to make a bit extra money. The price was good and the sites were large so we felt lucky to manage to get a site here.
We booked day by day because we weren't sure how long we would be staying and the attendant on reception was very obliging. We really wanted to be at the point but we looked at the caravan parks down there and the sites were all so tightly packed we were very happy to stay where we were. We booked a sunset cruise and we were close enough to walk down to the pick up point, so this was another plus. We drove to the point one night for dinner and there was a huge line and we weren't prepared to wait so we drove back to our hotel and had dinner there. It wasn't anything fancy but the service was good and the food enjoyable.
