We took the Skyrail up to Kuranda spent the day there and then took the last train of the day back to Cairns. We walked back to the station in plenty of time to catch the 3.00pm train
so we sat on this beautiful picturesque platform having a chat waiting to be called onto the train. We had been allocated specific seats in specific carriages so we walked down until we found our carriage, climbed on board and then found our seats. One of our seats was by the window so I sat here so that I could take photos. It is indeed a very scenic ride down the mountain and the carriages are well maintained and spacious. The train stops for us to get a good view over Barron Gorge so I hopped off here for more photos. It is a leisurely ride and takes about 90 minutes so we arrived back Freshwater station about 4.30 and we were then directed to buses and our particular bus dropped us back to our car at the Skyrail entry.
