After a couple of nights in Cairns we drove to Port Douglas to have a look around. We eventually found a parking spot around the corner from the main street and we walked back to the Visitor Information Centre hoping to find accommodation at a caravan park for two nights. Port Douglas is a very pretty town which looks to be completely tourist orientated, we were pleased to have the opportunity to have a look around but we didn't think we needed to spend long here. Apparently there is only one caravan park in Port Douglas and as this is peak period there weren't any vacancies, so the attendant suggested we try Pinnacle Village Holiday Park in Wonga Beach because it is one of the better parks and we will be able to get a spot there. We drove to Wonga Beach and we were able to find a spot next to a permanent Tenant who had taken all of the power points in the electrical stand. There was another permanent over the road and she walked over and tried to help us sort it out but I eventually walked to the office and the owner walked back with me and we managed to organise the cords. We went for a drive heading to Cape Tribulation but the queue for the ferry was too long and this is when we went on the croc tour. On the way back we stopped at Hook a Barra which was on the corner of the street to the park, Robb was interested in finding our how much it was to fish there but we thought the cost outrageously high. For fish and release it is $56 per person per hour and for guests $10 entry, if you catch something it costs $14 per kilo to purchase your fish. It is much cheaper to take a fishing charter out for a day so we drove back to the park because it was now past wine time and I wanted to prepare dinner.
