Gallo Dairyland - Atherton Tablelands

We were driving a relaxed tour around Atherton Tablelands and we arrived at the dairy around lunch time so decided to have a look around and then see what was available for lunch. Being big kids we chose to look around the animal nursery first and we thought it well maintained and enjoyed patting the animals. We then went to have a look inside firstly walking towards the chocolate making area to see if there was a demonstration coming up but there wasn't so we had a look at the range of chocolates, Robb being a chocoholic. Next we had a look at their wide variety of cheeses and because we both love our cheese we decided to have a cheese platter for lunch. We chose the small platter and thankfully we did because we couldn't finish all of that even though we both loved the majority of cheeses on the plate. Robb particularly liked the Macadamia and I loved the Rainforest so before leaving we purchased both of these to take home and we also included the Heritage in our purchases. To be honest we could have purchased all of them we enjoyed them so much. We ate our lunch in the spacious dining area and the service was excellent and quick and we also thought the cheese prices were reasonable. If we didn't already have plenty to do while in Cairns we would have returned there and if we go back we will be making this a must to return to.
