Port Arthur

Robb and I have visited Port Arthur a few times but this was a family weekend and I loved sharing what I knew with everyone else. We were there two years ago but there has been renovations to the main entry facility since we were there and we were very impressed. The staff on the booking counter are so helpful and will spend time with you to work out the best option for you to enjoy your day. The rates are reasonable with entry and all items at the inside coffee shop. We paid for a guided tour and harbour cruise which is the same as the other times we have visited. Our guide Jett was very helpful and after a great description of the history we wandered ourselves before catching the boat for the cruise, our guide kept popping in and out to make sure we were making the most of our visit. You can purchase food and drinks on the boat and after 6 hours walking it is nice to sit back with a cuppa. This is just a beautiful area to visit and you can spend hours here, the history of the the penal colony just adds to the aura.
